An Australian filmmaker searches Asia for 100 local people he photographed five years earlier, to see them as more than just faces or numbers…
Ben sets out to learn their stories, to understand what makes their communities so vulnerable to human trafficking.
Incredibly, after an epic 10-month overland journey, Ben finds 80 of those people, witnessing their strength and courage in the face of overwhelming adversity.
One of those people spent three years working as a slave on a Malaysian palm oil plantation before braving a dangerous and illegal journey home.
Epic’ will be released as a series of documentaries to raise awareness of the global human trafficking crisis.
In the meantime, please visit our gallery to see epic before and after photos and read the stories behind these incredible faces.
